Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the NAPA app and website, operated by Alabaster Edutech LLP. By using NAPA you agree to them.

1. Who can use NAPA

NAPA is for parents and legal guardians aged 18 or over, and for staff of schools that have signed up. You must be linked to a participating school, normally by an invite code the school gives you. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter, including your child’s details.

2. Your account

You sign in with your mobile number and a one-time password. Keep access to that number secure — anyone who receives your OTP can access your account. Tell us immediately if you think someone else has access. One account per person; do not share logins.

3. The school’s content

Announcements, homework, attendance, report cards, fee schedules and calendar entries are supplied and controlled by your school, not by us. We present them as the school provides them. We are not responsible for their accuracy or completeness — raise any dispute about them with your school.

4. Community rules

Class communities are private spaces for the parents of a class. You agree not to:

• post anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, defamatory or obscene;
• harass other parents, staff or children, or share anyone’s personal information without consent;
• post photographs of other people’s children without their parents’ consent;
• advertise, solicit, spam, or promote a business without the school’s permission;
• impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your connection to the school.

School administrators moderate their communities and may remove content or remove a member. We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules. You can report content from within the app.

5. Content you post

You keep ownership of what you post. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display and distribute it inside NAPA for the purpose of operating the service. You are responsible for what you post and confirm you have the right to post it.

6. Fees and payments

NAPA is free for parents. Where you pay school fees through the app, you are paying your school; we collect on the school’s behalf through our payment gateway, Razorpay. The school sets the amount and what it covers. Refunds are governed by our Refunds & Cancellation Policy and, ultimately, by your school’s decision. A payment is confirmed only once the app shows it as paid.

7. Availability

We work to keep NAPA available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and will give reasonable notice of significant changes where we can. Maintenance and outages may interrupt access.

8. Ending your use

You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Privacy & Security. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or where a school ends its relationship with us. Deletion is handled as set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. Liability

NAPA is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for the accuracy of school-supplied content, or for what other users post. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the preceding twelve months.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction.
